Notes

What goes on a client card

Only what you'll use at the next visit. A card crowded with fields nobody reads gets filled in once and ignored after. Keep the name and phone, the details that change what you do, and anything that affects safety, such as allergies.

Keep it private

A client card holds personal data. In Europe that falls under the GDPR: note what you need and nothing more, tell clients what you keep and why, and keep the cards out of sight at the front desk. Health details such as allergies or a pregnancy call for extra care.

From paper to OnTime

On paper the card lives in a box by the till. In OnTime, each field on it becomes a field on the client record, created from the phone number when the client first books and found again by name or number. Notes stay readable by professionals only. How client records work.

Questions people ask

  • Not on this page. Print the card and add lines by hand, or create your own fields in OnTime, where you name every one.

  • If you note health details or keep photos, a signed consent is sensible. Each trade's card has a yes or no box for it where it matters.

  • No. The card is built in your browser, and printing it sends nothing to OnTime.
